Personal connections

Some services are reached through your own account, not through one account that the whole workspace shares. Rezonant calls these personal connections.

Granola is the clearest example. Your meeting notes are yours, so Rezonant reads them through the account you connected, and it sees only what that account can see.

You connect and manage these on Integrations, on the Accounts tab of the service. That tab tells you which kind of connection a service uses: a roster of the members who connected their own account, or one connection for the whole organisation.

Who a workflow run reads the service as

A workflow run reads a personal connection through the account of the person the run acts as:

  • You run the workflow. The run reads your account.
  • A schedule or an event starts the workflow. The run reads the account of the workflow's owner.

Rezonant never quietly reaches for another member's account. This is why the same workflow can give two people different results: each person's run reads their own notes.

What a teammate needs

A teammate can run a workflow that reads a personal connection. They need their own account for that service. If they have not connected one, Rezonant refuses the run and names the service to connect.

The exception is an account a member has deliberately offered to the whole workspace. Where one exists for that service, a teammate who has not connected their own reads it through the offered account instead of being refused.

What org admins can do

An org admin can remove another member's connection. A personal credential outlives the person who granted it, so somebody has to be able to revoke it for a member who has left.

An org admin cannot connect an account for somebody else, and cannot use one. Only the person who holds an account can grant it, and only their own runs read it.

Disconnecting

When you disconnect, Rezonant removes your credential and the input sources bound to your account. Those sources are not restored if you connect again, so Rezonant lists them before you confirm.

To refresh a grant instead — for example after a service asks for a new permission — use Re-authorize on your row. That keeps your input sources.
